Cooking for 100 can be fun…

Cooking for 100 people could be fun if you didn't have to do it every day of the year, over an open fire, in a bamboo hut with a dirt floor in sweltering temperatures! 

That is what Rouben has to do for the 85 kids, eight staff and extras at our orphanage in Myanmar. 

When I was there recently I asked Rouben what he needed for his kitchen.  Initially he said, ‘Nothing’.  He was embarrassed to ask for anything.  Finally, after some coaxing, he said quietly, ‘Is it ok to ask for a whole new kitchen?’

New land purchase needed

The local officials have asked our orphanage leaders to purchase an additional parcel of land for agricultrual purposes. 

The purchase is to demonstrate that the facility has sufficient resources to provide for basic needs of the children and the workers.

Harvest Point Car Boot Sale
