Projects

There are three key projects that we aim to complete over the next three years.

Project 1: New Orphanage Building (progress...)
Project 2: Pig Farm Micro Business
Project 3: Child Sponsorship Program

The first project is the construction of a new orphanage that will accommodate 100 children.  This will allow us to relocate the children in the present orphanage in Yangon to the new orphanage which is located in a more appropriate rural area.  This project will be complete in 2011.

The second project is the establishment of micro businesses including a pig farm, small retail shops, trishaw businesses and other primary production.

The third project is the establishment of a small school to teach English.  This will be possible when stage one of the the orphanage is complete.  There is a high demand in Yangon for people with good English skills.  This small business will contribute significant resources to the daily operational costs of the orphanage.  We expect this project to be completed in early 2010.
